Partbreds
For various reasons, it may be of interest to some to cross breed to Lipizzaners.
No cross bred colts/stallions are registerable, but geldings and mares are. There are many Lipizzaner related sport-horses competing successfully around the world, in dressage, eventing, harness etc. Because of the oustanding movement of the Lipizzaner, the stamina and toughness of the breed, they have much to offer in cross breeding. It has been predicted that in future, Lipizzaners will be used more and more in combination with certain other breeds, for competition purposes.
